Sharon French
Sharon French asked Stefan Emunds:

What is your work schedule like when you're writing?

Stefan Emunds Very asynchronous. I try to review everything I write at least ten times. I put a number at the beginning of the text tracking how often I already reviewed it. I do the first five reviews within a couple of days. The six, seventh and eighth review need breaks of one week each. Then, I leave the writing for at least one month. I do that in order to gain distance to my work. If I'm focussed on writing I'm involved and subjective. I want to review my work as a reader. Because of this, I work on 2-3 books at the same time and 5-10 blog posts. It depends a bit on my mood and how much time I have which one I pick up in the morning. Usually, I finish small work first, so that I can focus on a things that take more time and focus, e.g. working through a few chapters of a book. I also tend to do the creative work in the morning (it needs fresh energy) and leave review work and polishing for the afternoon. It's important to relax the mind, so I have frequent breaks throughout the day.
