Goodreads asked Nina Jarrett:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nina Jarrett The Duke Wins a Bride is about a hurried marriage and forming an attachment in very little time. When my husband and I met, we fell in love at super speed. We had the same viewpoints, we wanted the same things, we just synced which is why 15 days later we married.

Annabel's thought process about accepting the proposal from the duke mirrors some of the thoughts I had when Mr. Jarrett proposed but, in my case, it only took me seconds and not hours to make up my mind. In my defense I have well-honed instincts when it comes to people so I knew he was a keeper. Plus I know what I want, when I want it so I usually just go for it. When writing the novel I figured readers would likely find it more believable if Annabel took a few hours.
