How do you get inspired to write?

Andy Borowitz If I waited to get inspired, I wouldn’t write much at all. I approach it more as a job, and write every day regardless of whether I feel particularly inspired. I have observed, though, that ideas often come to me unbidden when I go for a run. There is probably a physiological explanation for that.
