Jisedai was inspired by Kurosawa films and the desire to write something with an anime/manga style. I wrote it as the first in a series of standalone-ish stories focused on combatting the "Holy Eight of Suzakushin Corp." and eventually the corporation itself, showcasing lead protag Gabriel's growth from violent assassin to devoted protector and rebel.
