One-half of this book is flashbacks to teen years ( boring, sappy drama/puppy love,) the rest is equally tedious 30-yr. olds.

They first meet at the age of 13 and it follows them for the next, I think, 6 summers. And because it jumps between timelines you also see them at I'm pretty sure 30 years old.
