Though my home town of Paradise, California burned in the Camp Fire of 2018, some of the main street was left intact, so there are several businesses in operation, which helps with rebuilding efforts. But a lot of trees are gone, construction is expensive, and the population dropped from 26,000 to 5,000, so it's a very different place.
