Dear Darren, greetings from Ecuador! I have a question about the build up of the Cirque Du Freak universe. How much of it was already pictured n your head before you wrote the first book of the DARREN SHAN saga, and how much of it did you build on the go?

Darren Shan I built it up as I went along - I had almost nothing planned out at the start.

What part of the Cirque Du Freak series did you made you feel sad the most? For me, it would be that Darren had to give up his humanity and then Kurda Smahlt's death ): Even in death, may Kurda Smahlt be triumphant (:
