Rachel asked Karen Witemeyer:

I have so enjoyed reading your books. Over the years, I have read them numerous times and never get tired of them. But, I got to thinking.... Do you ever go back and re-read your own books? Do you enjoy re-reading them or do you mentally edit them? Do you think of other storylines that you would have included if you would write the same story today? Or once you are done writing a book - you're done. ;-)

Karen Witemeyer Hi, Rachel. What a fun question! Typically, I do not go back and re-read my own books. Once I've written, re-written, edited, and gone through 1 or 2 sets of galleys, I'm ready never to see it again. Ha! I did skim through my Archer brother series a few years ago when I decided to return to that family and write a Christmas novella. I needed to refresh myself on those characters and personalities before reentering that world. Other than that, I've never gone back to read one of my books after publication. There's too many other good books out there to read with the limited time I have available. :-)
