Goodreads asked C.J. Connolly:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

C.J. Connolly I'm actually a huge fan of sci-fi TV shows and multiverse theories, and I'd been binge-watching the TV show Fringe, which has parallel universes. My debut novel, The Love of My Other Life, was dreamed up one lazy Saturday morning around that time. I live alone, but woke up with a weird sense that someone was in bed next to me. I chuckled as I imagined how bizarre it would be if someone was actually there, and got up to say "Morning, honey, want a coffee?" and I'd slipped into another version of my life. I ended up mentally running with the idea and figured out the whole story from start to finish in those few hours! I hadn't even intended to write a novel, as I have a busy day-job career, but I thought it was such a fun idea for a book that I plotted the whole thing - and then found myself writing it. It just poured out! Didn't even know I had that in me.
