There is rape in the book. Which is glossed over by the author. I wouldn't recommend it for teens.

It's written for adults but older teens may enjoy it if they like Peter Pan stories.

While it is based on Peter Pan it does involve some drug use and other content that could be triggering or upsetting for some people. Because of this content I would recommend it for mid-teens and up.
