I'm obsessed with 'Away with the Penguins' and 'Call of the Penguins,' they're my favourite books. I'm planning on reading 'Ellie and the Harpmaker' but I'm dying to know if you're working on any new books?

Oh my goodness! I have only just seen this question and I have noticed it was posted a year ago! I don't know how that happened and I'm so very sorry. And (obviously!) so very happy that you love the penguin books. I hope you enjoyed E&THM too, although I understand it's a very different sort of book. I've now written another, as you might have seen. It's called LIFE AND OTTER MIRACLES and will be out in the UK in September. Fingers crossed you'll like that one too. I loved writing it. Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and support. It does mean A LOT to me. And many apologies agin for the ridiculous delay in replying.

I received an email blast about your new book and ordered it immediately. There was a link in that email for a short story online only about Veronica's housekeeper. Although I downloaded it to read later, it has disappeared. Is there anyway to access it?? Thanks for your wonderful books!

Oh Hazel, thank you so much for responding. I'd forgotten I asked you this. My husband passed away 2 weeks ago. I'd just finished your book and was reading another while at his bedside for the last bit of March and two weeks into April. He died on April 14. It's been tough focusing on reading and anything to do with writing. I will get back to it and I'd love to take a look at that web site. Could you pass it on pls?
