Jacey I think this book is a greatly needed redirection from the HEA narrative. That trope is not always needed for a good story, and this book allows there to be an ending in the grey area between "happily ever after" and "tragedy". It represents real life and the complexities that come with it, and that's what makes the story and ending so beautiful.
