Hello Joy: I thoroughly enjoyed your book "The Murderer's Son" which I just finished on Audible. I do have a question that I was hoping you might comment on? The story begins with discovery of the farmer's body, the first murder victim. Then there does does not appear to be another reference to this character. Progressing through the book, the "murder count" seems to totally ignore this poor man.

Joy Ellis Hi Christopher, really glad to hear that you enjoyed the book. As I've written some twenty books since that one, I had to go back and look for myself! The first victim was in the prologue, and not part of Jackman and Marie's present investigation. It happened some 23 years previous and was being handled by an un-named DI. This scene was purely to give background to the murderess, Francoise Theyer. Hope this helps, all the very best, Joy
