Jen
Jen asked Andy Weir:

Did you have advice on the scientific side of things in The Martian? It all sounds very convincing to me!

Andy Weir Advice? I guess just do a lot of research. That's what I did, anyway. :)

A.D. Davies
A.D. Davies asked Andy Weir:

How much of the intricate research did you already possess, and how much did you need to conduct for each of those beats? And where did you get the info from?

Cat Audette Holt
Cat Audette Holt asked Andy Weir:

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to fans. I truly enjoyed the levity of your book, often laughing out loud. You brought such knowledge to such an alien story. As soon as I was done reading I went to find anything else you had written and was personally sad to see it was your initial work. So my question is (without any pressure) is there another book coming soon and what might it be about? Thanks. Cat

Liz
Liz asked Andy Weir:

The book is advertised as being a mix of Apollo 13 and Castaway (which is very fitting). Were these the inspirations you used in writing the book? Or were there other stories you pulled inspiration from?
