Hi Penelope! I was wondering what your favorite book was that you read either recently or just overall! Also, what inspired you to write and how did it start off- easy or more complex?
Penelope Douglas
Hi, Livv,
My favorite books are Frankenstein and The Night Circus. I haven't read romance in years really. I read a lot of YA, mysteries, and thrillers.
I started writing my own books when I read Fallen Crest High, and I was sad because there weren't more books like it. New Adult sparked my imagination, and it wasn't hard to get the idea for Bully. I wrote on nights and weekends, and my editor was a real ballbuster. She made me rewrite it three times lol. I learned how to write as I wrote that book. Showing versus telling, staying the character's head, staying in the moment during action scenes...she taught me a lot. It was easy to be inspired and motivated, but it was a process to write and rewrite.
I never expected it to be a career, that's for sure. I'll keep at it for as long as I can ;) But if it doesn't work out, I think I'd like to go culinary school next. :P

Hey Pen! Thanks a lot for releasing Damon's Love Letter! I love how it got everyone speculating who's it for. I'm just wondering. In the previous Valentine's Day scene, the boys and Rika celebrate it by going to the opera. What about this year's V-day? Did anything special happen, especially since we have a new addition to the Horsemen's family (Banks)? How did the boys celebrate it?
