I just now saw this, sorry.
But in answer to your question growing up I loved Laura Ingalls Wilder! I read the Little House Series like eight times before I turned thirteen. Laura Ingalls Wilder is still dear to my heart, as are all the classic authors I read growing up, but now it's hard to choose a favorite. I love S. D. Smith, Andrew Peterson, Jennifer Neilsen, Kristina Hall, Vanessa Hall, Dusti Bowling, H. S. J. Williams, Grace A. Johnson...and my list could keep going. I respect the styles all these authors use and adore the stories they create! (I'm also way more indecisive than I used to be...lol....)
