(view spoiler)[I'm re-reading the latest Cheerleader story now and I caught something that I missed before that really bothered me. While modeling, Lee is paired with a male model for the bridal pictures and he is unexpectedly kissed during the shoot. You write it as if it is just an innocent event and turns out as a great picture, but it seems to me it's actually sexual assault. Why did you feel this needed to be included? (hide spoiler)]

It is my belief that many of the best photographs are often the unscripted ones. I think that has been a theme in many of Lee's modeling segments.
In this particular segment, Lee was already worried about the interaction with Octavio and the other models were kidding him. In a true wedding scene, there would obviously be a kiss at some point. I tried to present it as Octavio improvising. I did not present it as some sexually suggestive kiss or a deep french kiss. Lee's reaction is to be stunned and lost in how to react.
The implication from the story point of view is that a picture of his reaction can be misinterpreted as the honest reaction a bride might have to the kiss. The suggestion here is that while he was stunned and upset, the facial expression or stunned look made him potentially look like a bride as he stared back at Octavio.
I don't think it was assault and not portrayed that way. Ask yourself if a true model getting a chaste lip to lip kiss would feel assaulted. I suspect that kissed in modeling pictures are seldom between people going out or having a personal relationship.
The inclusion was meant to provide another chink in Lee's possible view of himself as a man. He should be asking himself if he enjoyed the kiss or how he found himself in the situation. Darby has assured him that she loves him prior and after the scene.
You may disagree, but I felt it continued concerns Lee has had throughout the modeling situations.
