I think I missed something… It was resolved who Wilde's parents are, and who PB's parents are…but after all of that how do those two end up being related in the end?

At the book's end, Wilde and Hester are talking and he shows her an old picture that Silas had. It was taken in the 70s showing three girls in the background. Hester says....mom, right? and Wilde says yes. So was that Sofia in the picture with Kelly and Vicky? If so how can that be?(less)
