Alice
Alice asked:

Help me decide if I should keep reading! I'm about halfway through the first chapter and I'm VERY frustrated that Claire didn't just... not have children???? It already seems so out of character based on her environmental concerns and work. Is this going to be a problem for me throughout or is there some good reason this happened? Thanks!

Emily Sometimes I feel that our plugged in world prevents us from following a slower paced book. This is an elegy for humanity. I felt all of these issues were wrapped up in the last chapter. To the extent that I’m going to reread the book.
Mary Anne There's a good reason. Keep reading.
Also, each chapter is a different perspective.
Philip Higgins Probably too late now, but bail out fast Alice. I plodded on to the bitter end but want that time back. Depressing and unsatisfactory...he's read too much David Mitchell.
Pamela I'm halfway through the book and ready to quit- I really want to like it but there's not enough holding me
Linda It's explained in the last chapter.
Eliza There's a "reason", but it's preeettty out there. It could either blow your mind, or just annoy you. It definitely stretches to the far end of the fanciful/spiritual? fiction side of science fiction.
Ken Hulse dont stop reading. this is just the leaping off point.
