faith ☾ Though the world of Scythe presents as a sort of utopia because the people have conquered death, the fact that people have to be "gleaned" in the first place is an imperfect and morally wrong aspect, fitting under the umbrella of dystopia. However, any society is technically a dystopia, because a utopia, or perfect society, literally cannot exist!
