Send your internal editor packing, or else you'll never get anything written. Writing the first draft is actually my favorite part of the whole process because I just let my characters do whatever they want to do and watch the story unfold in front of me with no filters or judgment. If I allowed myself to judge my work before I got that first draft down on paper, I'd probably have never completed a story. Write, write, and write some more until you can type "THE END". Then you can go back later and do the hard work of editing it for publication.
