How do you get inspired to write?

Joanna Kadish my father was a writer before he went to medical school. And even after he became a surgeon, he loved to write. He wrote op-ed pieces for medical magazines and also some of the newspapers in the communities we lived in. When embroiled in a piece he was working on, and writing something hard hitting, he liked that he was helping people understand issues close to his heart. He favored issues that helped people live better, healthier lives.
