Puugu Menikheim
Puugu Menikheim asked Julie Abe:

How is the process of preparing to write a MG novel different than YA? Also, do you need to find a different agent for each age group, or can you have one agent for both?

Julie Abe While writing middle grade and young adult books, I've found the writing process totally different, especially in the voice. It's tough and takes a lot of writing (and rewriting) to truly discover how to tell each story, and each character has a unique personality that I work on a lot to make sure it's the right fit for the age category.

For agents, it depends on the agent/agency (though most represent all MG/YA), but my agent represents all age groups.
