Does anyone else find Linley's current love interest annoying? Full disclosure: have not completely finished the latest book yet so maybe this may not be a concern in the future. :)

Reading Cat I find HIM annoying as a lover, tbh but Daidre certainly isn't a character worth all his flailing, so...yes.
Sandi Duffy YES! I miss Helen.
Vidya O'Sullivan Absolutely irritating.
Susan Yes. I find Daidre to be totally selfish. No one will ever be another Helen, but I do not find these two to be not well matched at all.
There is literally no fun to their relationship.
Mary Both Daidre and Lynley are entirely too angstey about everything. They have reasons to be, but it’s no fun for the reader.
Helaine Golann Agreed and at the end it seems to suggest he's had some huge insight into his limitations etc. but not in a particularly clear or interesting way. Hoping someone will disagree and explain the depth of his sudden awakening!!
Bella (Kiki) I'm not fond of Daidre, but she's better than the roller derby person he was dating. I can't see him marrying Daidre, though, or her, him.
Pat I find the relationship tedious at best. Barbara Havers, however is always interesting. I find it takes away from the storyline. The subject matter in the last few books has made me uncomfortable, and you don't need to mix this relationship in on top of that. I wish it would end.
Pat Haber yes, i totally do! i actually didn't like Helen very much either, as much as i like Elizabeth George, i think she just doesn't get female characters as well, other than of course, Barbara Havers.
he's such a wimp with this current lover!
Volare Yes! Very much so! Wish he'd drop her like a hot potato!
Kathy kennedy Yes. Tough to complete with a dead wife though. She seemed so perfect
