Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nathan H. Green Woe to the Victor had an odd origin as it started off as a writing exercise. I wanted to write a prolonged action scene and started growing the idea out from that. Normally I'm much more of an outliner, but am really excited about the results (though it took a ton more revisions than any of my other works).
