Regrettably, that's a meaningless standard these days—when the bar for banning or censoring a book is as low as two or three people on egg-avatar users on Twitter, just about every popular work will at some point be challenged, either for what's included or what's left out.
In any case, I don't think this book has been banned from publication anywhere in the US, though apparently it's been challenged for racial stereotypes—sigh... In either case, I'd recommend anyone check out the book from a library (in person or online for free) and decide for themselves.
