A very mature 12 yo but probably 13+ from my experience. It is quite similar to the hunger games just with more romance!

This is such a fascinating book, I strongly encourage you to read it! I would consider the age rating controversial, although it has no explicit scenes in it, it does contain violence and sweet romance. I would suggest 11+ if you would like to really understand it, but most certainly won't traumatise any younger children.
