The idea for CHRISTMAS IN THE HIGHLANDS came from a locket that had belonged to my grandmother. I found it in an old box recently and when I couldn't open it, I started to wonder what was inside. Was it a photo of one of her children, or her husband, or the picture of someone she'd kept secret? The story took off from there!
