Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Matt Burgin Mad Ferret is my most recent book and is about growing up in the late '80s and early to mid-'90s. I grew up in Sheffield and went to University in Salford and Bolton. It was a great time for music and a great time to be young. Although the book is set in a time and place I am familiar with, it is pure fiction and not based on people or events which took place. However, the familiar settings made it easier and more enjoyable to write.
