So, I've read Six of Crows and half of Crooked Kingdom, as well as scene the first season of the show, and I'm really curious about getting more into this world, but what I've heard about this original trilogy isn't supper encouraging. Is it worth reading to get the full story or should I just read a wikipedia summary? lol

Head-In-The-Books I would say you should definitely read the books. I really enjoyed them and think that if you like her other books and the Netflix series then you should read the books.
