Hi Marie, I am currently reading True North and I am intrigued by your dedication at the front of the book... can you elaborate on why you are so thankful to that editor?

Hi Margaret,
Because that editor rejected True North (for what I considered a rather stupid reason in light of the outstanding sales the book has had) and that rejection led me to self-publishing. True North was the first book I self-published in 2010. Self-publishing True North, the McCarthy series and other books has profoundly changed my life, my family's life and that of many of my friends who are now working with me. I was able to quit my day job to write full time. That rejection was the best thing to ever happen to me. Thus the dedication. :-) Thanks for reading!
