Brooke asked:

This is probably a very inconsequential detail, but it's driving me nuts. On page 166 of the paperback it says in regards to Hamnet, "He lurches upright, pulling the bedclothes with him, and makes two discoveries." But then it never says what those two discoveries are (I assume one is his headache)! Am I missing something? What are the two discoveries??

Pamela Haisty It is a bit confusing.
I read it as first discovery: His head is filled with pain.
2nd discovery: (next paragraph) He needs to find his mother.

OR
1st discovery: His head is filled with pain.
2nd discovery: It is the worst pain he has ever felt. It pervades his whole body.
