asked:
In what order should I be reading the Robin Hobb's books? I've heard that it's a multi series and I would like to start at the beginning Thanks

For My understanding of the timeline and references to events in other areas and character storylines the order should be:
The Farseer Trilogy (Assassin's Apprentice; Royal Assassin; Assassin's Quest)
Liveship Traders Trilogy (Ship of Magic; Mad Ship; Ship of Destiny)
The Tawny Man Trilogy (Fool's Errand; Golden Fool; Fool's Fate)
The Rain Wild Chronicles (The Dragon Keeper; Dragon Heaven; City of Dragons; Blood of Dragons)
The Fitz and the Fool Trilogy (Fool's Assassin; Fool's Quest; Assassin's Fate)
So this order, all the books with full numbers (1, 2, 3 etc (not2,5)) are the main storylines. https://www.goodreads.com/series/5409...
You could also just read only Liveship + Rain wild as these take place in the same place. Or just read all other 3 series as these have the same main characters. I personally like the Assassin and fool books more than the ship and dragon books. But to get the full experience of the world I would read the full series of 16 books... and I have done it a few times.
