Is this book very "progressive", anti-conservative, perhaps anti-Christian? Many reviews make me concerned, for example with all the comparisons with "the handmaid's tale"...
Mara I didn't find it to be that. The main character is likely liberal, but I don't think much was mentioned politically. Maybe beyond the occasional "woke…moreI didn't find it to be that. Maybe beyond the occasional "wokeness" at the school in regards to the curriculum covering things like racism and altruism. The school is secular. This book does deal with government overreach and how we judge parents, particularly mothers. (less)
