Why did you feel the need to use such excessive profanity in the book? I loved the story but was constantly turned off by the foul language and had prevented me from recommending it to many people.

Andy Weir I'm sorry you feel that way. But I do believe it's realistic. People in life-or-death situations or high stress environments tend to swear.
