Does anyone know why Jacks is always carrying an apple? I thought maybe it had a symbolic meaning, but I was hoping it would be brought up. He always has an apple with him, and the author always makes a point to make it clear and then he's saying "apples" in his sleep (that had me laughing) but does anyone have any ideas as to why?
