Deacon B S Starr starts doubting her relationship with chris after Khalil dies. She is extremelly traumatized and when They start dragging Khalil through the media and she has to change her personallity to be around people like him. I feel like it is a little bit of both. While the fact that they are in interracial couple doesnt help how her father feels about him, I feel like that they have overcome this that strengthens it. I think they would stay together.
