Firstly, I wait until the desire to write rises in me. That is when I'm most productive and do my best work! Then, when I'm done for the day, I stop a little short of finishing the page so that when I pick up the story again later, I know where to go with it. It gives me confidence and it creates momentum which then carries me through until, once again I stop short of finishing the page again!
