Confused about Dark's death. Didn't he say that if he committed suicide, his daughter wouldn't get his life insurance money?

Darke definitely says the insurance company won't pay out (to fund his daughter's treatment) if it's death by suicide, and yet...then he asks Walk to make it look like suicide? Can anybody please explain? Maybe this confusion will be cleared up in the final bit I've yet to read,though? Fingers crossed (less)
