Hello! I sent an email and FB message regarding this question. But here goes! 1. Will we ever get POST revelations materials? The descendants of the characters from the original books? 2. Is there a way one can access the little author's notes after a person finishes the relations books? You had once sent it to me long ago but I have lost access to it.

So, when I first wrote Riyria Revelations I had absolutely no intention of ever going "further" down the timeline. Why?
(a) I thought the series ended beautifully, and I couldn't think of any way to "top that."
(b) I didn't want to "jump the shark" - and ruin something I thought was very special
(c) all the characters were in a "good place" and the story wrapped up on a tight bow - so it seemed like the right place to leave them.
That's why I "went back in time" for more Riyria adventures - and I'm cautious about each of those because I want to "stop too soon" rather than "stay too long." I'm currently writing book #5 of that series, Drumindor.
Since writing Riyria, I've gone even further back in time and explored the truth about many things I lied to you about in the Riyria books - mainly a lot about Nyphron/Novron - the first great war between men and elves, and I even touched on some of the more "mysterious" characters of the Riyria books (being purposefully vague to avoid spoilers).
After finishing up the 6-books of Legends of the First Empire and the three books of The Rise and Fall, I now have the entire stage set - and you know ALOT more than you would if the only books you read were Revelations. With those books in place, it does open upon the possibility of going "forward in the timeline."
Will I write it? Not sure yet - to "do it right" would be a huge undertaking and quite challenging (which appeals to me). But I would have to get it 100% finished and be happy with the result before I consider showing it to the rest of the world.
So, while before there was "0% chance" I'd say there is now a 50/50 chance.
As to the afterword - send me a direct message with your email address and I'll send it to you again.

Hi Michael :) As a mythology-buff, I wanted to ask a few questions about the gods of Elan. Were you inspired by any mythologies when you made the creation story and deities, did you simply develop it to fit the story or was it primarily based on the redemption theme the Riyria books have? And, if it’s not considered some sort of spoiler, did Erebus ever manage to collect all the feathers and be forgiven by Muriel?
