(view spoiler)[Hi Kendare, I hope you are doing well?!
Natalia is probably one of my favourite characters of all time (I refuse to accept that page 393 happened), so I was wondering if maybe you could tell us more about her character as well as her relationship to Genevieve, Katharine, etc.
All of your characters are so beautifully thought through, so I’m guessing there’s so much more we don’t know about them and especially her. (hide spoiler)]

Ah, Natalia. She was so great to work with. There was a draft where she survived the attack but ultimately it was better that she didn’t because had she been around for the last books…I couldn’t have watched her turn against Kat. And if they had teamed up, let’s face it, they would’ve won. But you asked for more Natalia, so here’s a little extra:
Natalia and Genevieve. Big sister and little. There was love there, but also a fair bit of resentment. Genevieve was prettier, and more charming, and she didn’t have the responsibilities that Natalia had as the future head of the family. So Natalia often rolled her eyes at Genevieve’s frivolity, and was annoyed at her lack of gravitas.
But while Genevieve was prettier, Natalia was better at literally everything else. So Genevieve resented the ways she was overlooked, and leaned into being the pretty, free one which just fueled further resentment.
Still, if you moved against one Arron sister you were fighting them both. And everybody knew it.
