I just wanted to let you know how much I have been enjoying your books. I came across Burntown at a store called Reny's here in Maine. I wrote the title down and than borrowed it from the library. I was hooked instantly to that story. I decided to read another one of your books to see if I would like another one of your stories. I am totally a fan now. Do you think you will ever come to Maine?

Hi Elyse, I'm so happy you've been enjoying my books! I love Maine and have even been to a Reny's! I have family and friends there and love camping near the beach. One day, when things are more back to normal and I'm able to do a proper book tour again, I would LOVE to come do an event in Maine. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Dear Jennifer, I hope you're happy and healthy these days! I'm reading The Drowning Kind, & didn't think I was too spooked until suddenly I am reluctant to turn off the light; friggen eldritch pool. It's super good - sneak-attack spooky! I'm wondering, do you ever scare yourself while writing? Are you ever on a roll & suddenly like, "damn, I don't want to turn off the light, even though this came from my own brain"?

I read The Winter People (excellent!) and that led me to The Drowning Kind- so scary I woke my husband up at 4:00 a.m. I went to boarding school as a young girl it was a building that had once been a glamorous hotel. Everyone said it was haunted. A few years after I graduated it burned to the ground. It also had a wooden pool! So I related on a whole new level. can u tell me the next book of yours I should read?

Jennifer, Just found you by reading The Drowning Kind, which I loved. It's now sent me on a spree to read your other books. Were you always drawn to suspense and ghostly ideas to start writing your books? I'm really enjoying the weaving of the past and present you do.
