Keep working at it. Writing, like anything, requires practice. When I was training to be a Medic, we talk about using what is in our 'toolbox'. Do that! I have books I use from, 'Master list of Emotions for Writers' to The Emotional Thesaurus' to Screenwriting for Authors'. There is so much out there!
