What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

David James Southam Avoid interruptions - it is the biggest influence pulling you from your zone. You can be in the middle of inspiring writing and a phone call will ruin that moment in an instant. Another is - just write, come back at a later date to add, edit and review. Too much planning in my view makes a story too much of a process. I just wrote and then corrected and investigated further when it was necessary. For me, it is the act of writing that allowed my ideas to flow.
