How do you get inspired to write?

Ronald A. Geobey It can be anything really - from music (orchestral soundtracks and heavy metal, mostly) to movies and TV shows. I'm rewatching Fringe at the moment, and I'm realising how much I was inspired my that. Inspiration is strange - you don't have to be aware of it for it to be working. But one 'tradition' of mine is open the file I'm working on and put the Braveheart soundtrack on. That opening track is like a switch for me - it says 'you're writing now. Take a deep breath and let's go.'
