Why did you choose this period/place as a setting for your novels?

Glynnis Campbell Maybe because of my father's stories of King Arthur when I was a little girl, I've always felt drawn to medieval times. Most fairy tales take place in the Middle Ages, and I grew up beside a park that doubled for Sherwood Forest in Errol Flynn's "Robin Hood," so it was kind of natural that I loved knights in shining armor and castles.
