Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Geoff Genge The idea for my current WIP came for the same original conversation that triggered the concept for Terra Obscura. The fate-filled day with my daughter when we were riffing on the idea of creating a story about a paranormal investigator who was examining classic supernatural phenomena before they became tropes or cliches. Finding new scientific ways of explaining the paranormal in the early 1900's and exploring all the great classic monsters.
It was during this phase of development that I realized the first three books should form an arc that all lead to the mummy. And not some rambling, shambling mummy, but an actual terrifying and monstrous mummy that could threaten the world and terrorize all who saw it. On that day, the monster Nefero was born. I cannot wait for our readers and fans to see what we have come up with in Terra Obscura Casebook 3 and to add my mummy to the pantheon of great villains .
