A Goodreads user asked:

Is "Dreamland" a good book?

Chloe You will come away an educated person with opinions that make sense based on the facts he presents. Read it. And follow it with 'The Least of
Us' (I am reading now). Then read 'Empire of Pain' - to fill in the Sackler saga (different author). Then when your township or city or area comes up with idiotic and expensive plans to take care of the drug and homeless problem they are facing, you will be able to counter with FACTS, not pipe dreams that will only cost more. This is not about anything the various governments, large and small seems to understand.
Greg Latanick Yes, I'd recommend. I'm from where it's about tho so I may be biased, but I often cite this book when discussing the drug epidemic in America.
