I've wondered if the Ecolitian universe is the place where the chaos and order mages were from originally before being translated to the world of Recluse?

L.E. Modesitt Jr. Most order and chaos mages grew up on the world of Recluce. Cassius was translated from our present time [well... some forty years back]. Others come from our future, but not from the Ecolitan future.
