Can YA fans of Victoria Schwab read and enjoy this book too? Why is it listed as both adult and young adult?

Victoria This may be a late answer, but (hopefully) it may help someone:
I, a 15-year-old, thoroughly enjoyed this book. I suppose there are some adult themes, but it's nothing that would throw up an extreme red flag. However, some may find certain elements more offensive than other people (infrequent cursing, mild torture--definitely nothing Stephen King level--, and exploration of the dichotomy of good and evil).
Liliana I am 14, I found the book wasn't too bad however, I really think it depends on your own maturity level. There were slight themes of suicide so I would definitely check the TW. It was a bit confronting to me but, I was able to get through it. There was infrequent swearing (this is coming from an Australian). But overall nothing too terrible, I wouldn't recommend to everyone though. I found it in the YA section of a bookshop, if that's any help.
Tamara Stovall I think YA fans would enjoy the story but there is adult content that would result in an R rating if this were a movie. Cursing (including the F-word) and extreme violence (including violence with firearms and torture).
Hayley I've read both this one and the first two Archived books. I personally would say this is more of a "new adult" book both in terms of the characters' ages, stages of their lives (college etc) and themes. That said, I would recommend it to my older high school students if they were strong readers and interested in this genre, but probably no one below the age of 16. (That's just my take though.) The Archived series I would see is a more "text book" YA work; Vicious is definitely more mature in tone.
Book Adicted I read this book when I was 13 and loved it, this book is great for young adults looking to transition to adult fantasy
Lara Reads I'm 16 and I enjoyed this book a lot , Yet some of the things were even triggering for NA Readers ( The EO's Experiments etc ) but I would recommend it for 14+ , Because The theme of this book was Not bold or Anything . In short I recommend it for all readers . Also The characters were matured so It may be Called NA , But the Theme of the book was mostly like YA , But I'll recommend everyone to check TW's before reading it , No matter whatever your age is .
Kat Mitropoulos How much language would you say is in here? I just read a book where the GD and F-word were every few pages-is this the same?
Julia Hörmayer I'd say so. I usually read YA as well and I absolutely loved this book! It's adult, though, don't know why it's listed as both. But it's for example also a lot more YA-ish than A Darker Shade of Magic imo.
Ogo Iwuorie I have not finished the book, but I noticed that the book goes back 10 years when the antagonists were in college and then returns to the present day through out the book.
